Ashtanga Yoga Master Class – Practice, Principles & Philosophy  –  Starting 6:00 to 8:30

Ashtanga Yoga Master Class – Practice, Principles & Philosophy –

Where: Brämhults Gård 

Kia will share experiences and insights for developing a deeper perception of Ashtanga Yoga as a practice for our entire being – body, breath and mind. We will journey through key elements with an explorative mindset, looking at common energetic principles, actions & alignment details to help cultivate a transformational yet sustainable practice in rooted in yogic principles. Ultimately growing an understanding for Asana not only as a physical practice but as an Anusthan, a way of being, a state of mind.

Pranayama & Kriyas – practice, techniques and philosophy.

The division between the body and mind is first healed with the breath. Hence Pranayama is considered the central aspect of any authentic Hatha yoga practice. In this session we will deepen our appreciation of the subtleties of breath and its significance in yogic practices and philosophy. New students will be introduced to traditional teachings of pranayama & kriyas, whilst those with  their practice and understanding.


Saturday :   

Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style – Assisted Self Practice -starting 8:00 or 9:45

– Workshop – 15:30-17:00

Pranayama & Kriyas – practice, techniques and philosophy.

Meditation & Satsang

Satsang means exploring truth in the gathering of ones spiritual community, Sangha. This last session of the weekend workshop, Kia will guide us in meditation as well as offer space for Satsang – discussion and inquiries around the practice and philosophy of yoga.


Monday :   

Shanti Patah, Morning Meditation 
& Ashtanga Yoga – Sanskrit Counted Primary Series

Starting 6:00 to 8:00

Where: Brämhults Gård

We open our last morning together with a traditional Peace Prayer, Shanti Patah and a morning meditation aligning body and mind with heart. We close the circle by coming together as One in body, breath and mind through the beauty and flow of a traditionally Sanskrit counted Primary Series. When we focus on counting the Mala of the postures, the practice becomes the object of meditation for the student and the teacher – creating one single intention.

KIA BIO

Kia Naddermier has over 20 years of experience of Ashtanga Yoga and is the founder of Mysore Yoga Paris (http://mysoreyogaparis.com) where she upholds the daily Mysore program. She is a dedicated advanced practitioner and teaches Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Philosophy and Adjustment techniques. She mentors teachers and gives development trainings, workshops and retreats internationally. Kia is a devoted long-term Pranayama practitioner and certified to teach at the highest level directly by Shri O.P. Tiwari according to the Kavalyadham lineage. With a genuine dedication to the growth and development of her students, Kia offers an inclusive and inspiring space open for personal exploration, inquiry and transformation. Her deep love and years of dedication to all aspects of this practice shines through in her warm, insightful and inspirational teaching.
